Hummus

3 garlic cloves, minced
540 ml canned chick-peas (garbnzo beans) drained
60 ml tahini (seasame seed paste) or peanut butter
45 ml lemon juice
15 ml olive oil
30 ml water or chick-pea liquid
5 ml cumin
2 ml salt

Method

1. In food blender mince garlic.

2. Add chick-peas, tahini, lemon juice, oil, water, cumin, and salt.

3. Process until smooth.

4. Transfer to serving bowl.

5. Serve with warm pita bread for dipping.
